Blog Post 2

The most interesting source I have found so far is a list of quotes from doctors and health experts about the many destructive effects of drinking soft drinks.  It is a web source, but seeing as the quotes are from a majority of books, it may be interesting trying to cite this source.  The title is "The Health Effects of Soda".  There are multiple authors because there are many quotes.  It is interesting because there wasn't anything good to be said about soda.  Everything I read was about a destructive effect. It made my heart rate rise.  I am soda addict.  I can drink a can of soda in about 6 seconds, and I can clear out a tower(12 cans) of soda in a day, by myself.  Last year, I drunk either a 2 liter of mountain dew a day, or a tower every other day.  No breaks  So this was a pretty big eye opener for me.  This source shows the outcomes of various studies, that I will have to try and verify myself.  I'd hate to believe that drinking soda is as bas as all of these people are making it out to be, seeing as I drink a fairly large amount of it.

My question hasn't changed much.  I may end up trying to see if I can narrow it down a bit, if I find that it is too broad.  In my research, I'm not finding much of an other side to the argument.  I am just finding things about the destructive effects. When I write my paper, I'd hope to have found something to go against my argument so that it doesn't sound one-sided and uneducated.

  1. Shawn, Where's your first post? Why aren't they on the same blog?

Anyway, this is a great topic. Another viewpoint might simply be the viewpoint of the companies who produce soft drinks. Do they think their products are dangerous?
